"Rapid spray evaporation" may be applied to groundwater remediation
In 2015, the new environmental protection law promulgated and implemented the "water pollution control action plan" successively, indicating that our country's efforts to control environmental pollution have entered a new height, and the era of universal energy conservation and environmental protection is coming.
According to the principle of groundwater remediation technology can be divided into four categories: physical method, chemical method, biological method and composite repair technology; according to the repair methods can be divided into in situ remediation and bioremediation, which is the first with the pollutants bioremediation collection system or extraction system to the ground, and then processing technology. Ectopic repair includes replacement method and extraction (pump and treat).
Spraying technology has been paid more and more attention to desalination technology in recent years. Spray evaporation desalination technology is desalination method of low temperature phase transformation process based on the device, flexible size, equipment investment is moderate, can facilitate the use of low energy (such as solar energy, geothermal energy and waste heat, factories etc.) so great potential, its working principle as shown below.

Rapid spray evaporation (RSE) technology was applied to a new desalination plant by a company in the U. S. state of Georgia, which is said to be only 1/3 of desalination technology at present. As a portable new desalination equipment, it can handle 11 thousand litres per day. The application of the principle is: salt water into the separation chamber through the spray pipeline, the formation of very small drops of water; hot air in the separation chamber, rapid evaporation of water droplets, separation of water and salt and other impurities; the steam into the condensing chamber as pure water, and the salt fell in the bottom of the separation chamber, convenient extraction. The company says the new technology is much more efficient than existing reverse osmosis technologies. Tests show that it can handle water with a salinity of up to 16%, much higher than the average concentration of sea water. The device could also treat wastewater, the inventor said. RSE technology recovery efficiency of up to 95%, the traditional technology can only reach 35%, investment only distillation and reverse osmosis 1/4, and operation and maintenance costs greatly reduced.
Because of the characteristics of low cost, high efficiency RSE, combined with the method of extraction of groundwater bioremediation, pollution of groundwater will not contain volatile pollutants is pumped to the ground, quickly spray evaporation processing back row to the ground, may be a new method for groundwater remediation.
